In conjunction with the giving spirit of the holidays, The Shippers Group participated in the Salvation Army and Angel Tree programs this year, as well as the Marine Toys for Tots program—all of which have been a part of our “Give Back” initiative for a few years. The Shippers Group implemented our Give Back program as a way to say thank you and show our support by participating in events and making donations to the organizations working to make our world a better place.

The Shippers Group Holds Annual Canned Food Drive
In the fight to break hunger, food banks play a key role by securing billions of pounds of food each year and distributing it to millions of people in need. Unfortunately, the food insecurity dilemma has been worsened by COVID-19 this year, so the need to provide these families with relief has never been more pressing.
Each year, The Shippers Group holds its annual food drive to help provide much needed food to our local communities. Our wonderful and gracious associates went above and beyond this year and donated several hundred pounds of non-perishable items to their local food banks, with some sites even filling their car to the brim with donations!
2020: A Year of Growth for The Shippers Group
While COVID-19 brought many uncertainties to our world and supply chain this year, The Shippers Group persevered through our hardest challenge yet-to-date and experienced growth throughout the challenging circumstances. In 2020 alone, The Shippers Group was awarded dozens of new contracts from both new customers and several existing customers looking to expand with us. Within this number were three new distribution centers that The Shippers Group opened. President Rob Doyle stated, “Our ability to manage these high volumes is credited to the fact that we have really zeroed in on sustainable and robust start-up processes.” He continued on to say, “Organic growth is one of the cornerstones for our continued profitable growth and two of our three start-ups during the pandemic have been from existing customers, which aligns with our strategic plan and allows us to showcase our operations prowess in uncertain times.”
