On March 9th, The Shippers Group released the first communique regarding COVID-19, Prevention and Response, sharing basic precautions as recommended by the CDC.

The following week on March 17th we released new information in The Shippers Group Quarterly Newsletter, and on our website we launched a new library of information. The Shippers Group's COVID-19 Resources page houses documents that outline new or updated policies and procedures consistent with the CDC’s recommendations. As the CDC continues to update their recommendations, The Shippers Group continues to enhance our efforts to ensure the safety of our stakeholders and our customers’ products.

Taking Action

This is the latest list of actions we are taking to ensure communication to all stakeholders:

  • Within our company, our operations teams across every facility are taking daily steps to follow and elevate protocols consistent with CDC’s latest guidelines.

  • We have also set up within TSG our own COVID Task Force. Members of the Task Force span every functional area of the company, and it’s purpose is to ensure that we as a company are doing everything possible to share information with all stakeholders in a timely manner and immediately escalate any response efforts necessary to protect the safety and well being of our associates, our communities and our customers’ products.

  • Rob Doyle, President of The Shippers Group, has started a weekly video message addressing our associates regarding TSG’s current efforts and recognize the sacrifice of our associates who are on the front lines ensuring our customers’ products are reaching their customers and consumers.

  • Weekly E-blasts to all stakeholders. For the most recent update of what we are doing to help prevent the spread of the virus, including sanitation procedures, temperature checks, social distancing and more is available here.

All TSG facilities are open for business, and we are extremely proud of our associates for answering the call as we work together in this war against the Coronavirus.

At The Shippers Group, we are committed to doing our part to help prevent spread of the virus while continuing to support essential services including the nation’s supply chain. If you have any questions, please contact Diane Villafana, VP of Human Resources and Safety Compliance.
