Public Health officials including the CDC continue to stress the importance of wearing masks in public, washing your hands and social distancing.  We continue to reinforce  this message across TSG facilities.  It is mandatory that all associates of The Shippers Group wear masks.

Associates are also encouraged to be tested.  A list of testing locations nearby TSG locations across the country will soon be provided to all General Managers.  Tests are now in abundance in most areas and are free with insurance.  Beware there have been reported testing scams charging hundreds of dollars for tests. Again, tests are free with insurance.

Documentation regarding our prevention and response efforts are available on our website and updated weekly.  For a complete list of all TSG COVID-19 Prevention and Response Documentation, visit our COVID-19 Resource page by clicking below.

Taking Action

This is the latest list of actions we are taking to ensure communication to all stakeholders:

  • This week begins a celebration, across all TSG facilities, of our associates who are the Essential American Supply Chain Workforce. To kick this off, President Rob Doyle traveled this week to Atlanta’s Austell and Jonesboro facilities where he attended BBQ luncheons at both facilities.  Rob commended every associate for their dedication to keep the supply chain moving and their commitment to safety. Other locations across the country will continue with their celebrations next week.
  • In following with the CDC’s recommendation, The Shippers Group’s will require masks at all TSG facilities for all associates.
  • COVID Task Force Clean Teams remain in place at every facility. These teams are mobilized when an associate has tested positive and are responsible for following stringent protocol for deep cleaning and sanitizing prior to associates returning to work.

    • Directives for Co-worker Testing Positive:
      • Close warehouse for minimum of 4 hours for cleaning
      • Notify all workers on current shift & next shift
      • Notify CDC for additional information
  • Every facility continues to follow established procedures for frequent daily cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment and surfaces throughout facilities.
  • Procurement, inventory management and company-wide distribution of PPE and cleaning supplies remains a priority.

    • Sanitizing schedule:
      • Breakrooms all tables, microwaves, time clocks, vending machines cleaned every 2 hours
      • All desktops, computers, printers and door handles cleaned every 2 hours
      • All MHE equipment cleaned every 2 hours
  • Other Directives:
    • Require associates to eat in cars/outside
    • Separate associates and limit seating in breakroom
    • Stagger breaks and lunches to manage number of associates in lunch room
    • Welcome associates at the door, keeping the door open and closed by Manager.

Face masks are required for all associates at every TSG facility nationwide.

The Shippers Group has closely followed the recommendations of Public Health Officials, particularly the CDC, since the beginning of our response to the COVID-19 global pandemic. As a result, The Shippers Group is requiring all associates nationwide to wear face masks to help ensure associates’ safety and prevent the spread of Coronavirus. We continue to practice social distancing, frequent hand-washing and recurrent cleaning/sanitization of surfaces throughout each day at all TSG facilities. The safety of our associates is always our number one priority.
