To celebrate National Hispanic American Heritage Month, a few TSG associates were asked to share their heritage and the importance of this month. Today, we are featuring Melissa Sotomayor, General Manager at our Orlando facility.

Truck drivers are the heartbeat of our economy. Without truck drivers, supply chains are crippled. National Truck Driver Appreciation Week gives us a chance to recognize the importance of truck drivers and the time they sacrifice on the road to keep goods moving. 

Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15^th to October 15^th by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Mexico, Spain, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.

The Shippers Group is excited to announce we were recently named the 2019 Supplier of the Year by our customer in our Jonesboro, GA location!

The Shippers Group received this award based on our high inventory accuracy, supply plan accuracy, fill rate, and shipment accuracy. In addition to our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), we also received this award for our efforts of going above and beyond for our customer and showing flexibility to accommodate our customer’s changing needs.

Rob Doyle, President of The Shippers Group is serving as the Track Chair for Warehousing EDGE Session 3 Education Tracks. The track, Success Stories and Collaboration Between Shippers and 3PL’s will take place on September 21, 2020 from 3:30pm-4:30pm, and is moderated by The Shippers Group's Robin Siekerman, VP of Marketing & Customer Solutions.

On Sunday, September 27^th, Peter Sexton out of our Jonesboro, GA location will be riding solo in The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.
