Celebrated annually since 1971, Women’s Equality Day falls on August 26, which is the anniversary date of the ratification of the 19^th amendment, granting women the right to vote. The national day symbolizes the continued fight for equal rights for women and that our country commends and supports them in this fight.

Congratulations to Daisy Bustamante who was recently promoted to Human Resources Assistant! Having joined The Shippers Group almost two years ago, Daisy started off as a Customer Service Representative at our Wintergreen 2 location where she oversaw several different accounts.

What is Inventory Management?

Inventory Management is a crucial part of supply chain management. It is the process in which inventory is tracked on a regular basis to ensure that the appropriate inflow and outflow are maintained. Without it causes an increase in costs and other areas of inefficiency.

The Delta variant of the COVID virus is surging across the country, particularly in the southern regions of the U.S. If you have not been vaccinated, please consider doing so.  The majority of new COVID patients are people who have not been vaccinated. Many people who have been vaccinated will also get COVID, but the majority will not become severely ill.    

Last month, The Shippers Group introduced our newest department: DICE—Department of Inventory Control Excellence. As part of their efforts, the team conducts regular cycle counting.
