The Shippers Group is excited to announce the recent addition to our Operational Excellence Team, Monica Soraney! Monica was hired as the Industrial Engineer for our Atlanta operations. In her new role, Monica will support the Operational Excellence Team in leading cultural transformation by training Lean Concepts aligned with our core values. A few of her day-to-day responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining “Best Practices”, implementing enhancements to existing work method flows, researching and implementing technological advancements, and driving overall efficiency.

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Monica has a concentration in Supply Chain and Logistics and also has her Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. Her previous experience entails working on implementation teams for startups, data analysis, and project management.

Monica resides in the Atlanta area, along with her dog, Apollo. She is originally from Philadelphia, PA, but her parents are from Thailand, where she and her sister grew up visiting. During Monica’s free time, she loves to travel, whether it is out of the country or taking road trips throughout the states. She also enjoys reading books and going to concerts.

When asked about joining The Shippers Group, Monica replied “I’m super excited to join the company and further my experience as an Industrial Engineer. I’m looking forward to working with the team to help provide efficient ways that align with the company’s Continuous Improvement and Lean efforts.”
