As The Shippers Group reintroduces Shippers Express as a transportation brokerage company, Laina Grimland has been appointed to serve as Director of Transportation Management. The Shippers Group is proud to announce that Shippers Express is going back to its roots of providing brokerage and transportation management services, and Laina will oversee daily operations. Part of the Shippers family for 23 years, Laina has been a steady hand in our transportation operations and has guided us skillfully as we discontinued our asset based transportation operations.

“As we switch gears and move away from having our own trucks, it is critical that we have someone with a lot of transportation management experience lead the charge,” say Rob Doyle, President of The Shippers Group. “We are excited to see Laina assume this role where her many years of brokerage and consolidation experience can be utilized.”

A member of the corporate team based out of our Wintergreen facility in Hutchins, Texas and as Director of Transportation Management for Shippers Express, Laina will coordinate with our Jonesboro, Georgia brokerage operation enabling Shippers Express to now offer brokerage and transportation management services to our customers in both Dallas and Atlanta.

Additionally, Shippers Express will support the new Ship N $ave program, our volume discount LTL program. Our customers and other users of Ship N $ave who ship LTL now have the opportunity to benefit from significant savings leveraged through the mass of LTL orders processed using Ship N $ave.
