Scott Goolsby was recently awarded The Shippers Group’s “Warehouse Associate of the Year” for 2019 during a surprise luncheon at our Austell, Georgia facility. Every month we choose a Warehouse Associate of the Month, and from those monthly winners, owners Ken Johnson and Graham Swank, along with our President, Rob Doyle, choose the associate who displayed the overall best work ethic, safety, production, and attitude.

According to Diane Villafana, V.P. of Human Resources, this award “recognizes the coworker who goes above and beyond throughout the year.” To congratulate Scott on his hard work, Rob Doyle and Diane Villafana joined the Austell team during their luncheon to present Scott with his award and thank him for his dedication to the Shippers Group. With their visit Rob stated that they "were very happy to be here to name the winner on the operations side.”

The Austell General Manager, John Salois, described Scott as someone who “is a true example of who all of us need to be. This person comes every day, on time. Does his job very well, everyday. Helps others. Works with everybody and all the teams, and is just an overall team-player - strong individual.”

In accepting his award, Scott humbly thanked his coworkers, stating  “Working as a team, it takes more than one for things to work. I appreciate everybody.” Take a look at the video of this awesome moment below:
