Shippers Warehouse Rolls Out New Name and Customer Newsletter

Rob Doyle President of The Shippers GroupWelcome to the first quarterly newsletter created for our customers to provide updates that relate to current events, company news and any initiatives that can affect your account.

Before I get too far down the road, I wanted to say that it has been a pleasure to join the Shippers Warehouse team as its President and the first six months have been very eventful and productive. Having the opportunity to help lead such a storied company is an honor, and I look forward to working with all our valued customers.

Recently, we began the process of changing our company name and will be going by “The Shippers Group” as we move forward. Since our service offering has grown from just warehousing to include transportation, packaging and e-commerce solutions, we felt it was time for a more relevant name. You will hear more about this in the coming months.

While we have been around since 1901, we are in no way standing still or resting on our laurels. As we move forward, we are striving to be an industry leader in the third party logistics space that focuses on our people, our processes and the technology we employ to enhance the overall customer experience to exceed your expectations on a daily basis.

We are laser focused on our customers. Everything we do going forward will be in an effort to improve your experience and be your trusted partner for the long run. We have invested in all areas of the company to be certain we have the talent, technology and leadership to continue to grow in a responsible manner and ensure that our level of service is unsurpassed in our industry. From training, human resources/safety, operations management, and customer service to industrial engineering, information technology and quality assurance, there is no area of the company that has not been looked at as we strive for perfection and long term sustainable growth.

So what is our goal? As I mentioned above, our goal is perfection in all we do. I feel if we have a well-trained team coupled with best in class processes, it will challenge us to continuously improve and raise our level of service to a point where we are exceeding your expectations on a daily basis.  Our journey has already begun. While the path to continuous improvement, by definition, never really ends, you will start seeing the results of these efforts, both small and large, as we move forward.

So regardless of what service we provide for you today, whether it is warehousing, transportation, packaging our e-fulfillment, you will see an enhanced effort to improve our communication on all levels and increase our level of service. We stand ready should you need our help anywhere in the country.

I look forward to communicating with you in this format each quarter. I also plan to contact our customers via phone and/or email on a monthly basis. If you have any specific topics you would ever like to hear about in our newsletter, just let me know as we always appreciate your input.
