Women’s History Month is celebrated every year during March to honor the contributions women have made, and continue to make, to the world as we know it—a world in which women are vibrant, significant, and worthwhile contributors. Every woman has a story and by advocating for women, we can continue to make progress towards equality—meaning more women achieving their goals, taking on leadership roles, and finding career success.

Earlier this month, our General Managers from every site joined our corporate team in Dallas for their first in-person General Manager Meeting. Over the course of two days, our General Managers participated in their own Town Hall meeting, had group discussions, met with various department heads, toured The Shippers Group headquarters, and enjoyed several entertainment activities that included bowling, dining, and axe-throwing.

Zethcon Partnership to Drive Innovation and Operating Efficiency for Leading 3PL

The Shippers Group has selected WMS, Zethcon's flagship software to support their operations which provides leading third-party warehousing, packaging, ecommerce, and transportation services. The company's commitment to innovate and continuously improve operating efficiencies has led to investment in a new WMS and will support growth of their operations which currently span over 5.4 million square feet in 12 locations.

February was a busy month for The Shippers Group and President, Rob Doyle, with Town Halls taking place with our corporate team, our sites in Grand Prairie, and our site in Lancaster, TX!

Town Halls were implemented by our Leadership Team several years ago as part of our efforts in fostering an open and inclusive workplace and culture. Rob makes it a priority to visit all sites twice a year to meet with our associates in the Town Hall setting. These Town Hall Meetings are held with the purpose of gaining insight through the perspective of our associates and for initiating improvements that benefit both our associates and our customers.
