These individuals are among the nation’s essential workforce responsible for keeping America’s supply chain moving. Their role is to ensure the distribution of food and healthcare products so that these goods arrive on-time where they are needed.

Earth Day is a global civic event promoting the movement of environmental protection through conservation and pursuit of global environmental sustainability.  This year’s Earth Day has special significance given we’re in the middle of a global pandemic of the novel COVID-19 virus.  Earth Day is an initiative intended to protect the natural environment for the overall health and sustained well-being of individuals and species for this generation and for generations to come.

Everyone loves their pets, so we wanted to do something fun and a little different here at The Shippers Group for National Pet Day! In March, we announced to all our associates that we would be holding a contest on Facebook for the upcoming Pet Day. Associates were encouraged to send in a photo of their pets to be part of the contest. All pets were welcome to participate. While we were not surprised to receive many entries consisting of dogs and cats, we were intrigued with entries that included pets like a horse, bearded dragon, and even a raccoon named ‘George Coonie’!

The Shippers Group recently joined food manufacturers and distributors as well as logistics providers to network and discover ways to improve and enhance their supply chain performance at the 65th Annual Food Shippers of America Conference in Orlando, Florida. Food Shippers of America is the gold standard for continuing education of transportation and supply chain services to the food industry.
