In a three part blog series, The Shippers Group is highlighting associates who have shared their thoughts on African American History Month. These associates were asked, "What does African American History Month mean to you?" Here, we share another inspiring and educational response we received from Angela Mitchell, Office Manager at The Shippers Group.

In recognition and celebration of African American History Month, several Shippers Group associates were asked, "What does African American History Month mean to you?" Over the next week, we will be sharing the inspiring, educational, and passionate responses we received. Today, we feature Ionie Farquharson, Human Resources Assistant.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are extremely important. In fact, the importance of SOPs in any supply chain operation can not be overstated.    

Congratulations to Maria Magana for being recognized as The Shippers Group Administrative Professional of the Year. As a TSG administrative associate for almost six years working at our Grand Lakes facility, Maria has many customer centric and internal operating responsibilities that include assisting with daily reporting, reviewing reporting with customers, assisting team members with issues, scheduling inbound/outbound appointments and helping the warehousing crew with any stock issues. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the information she is providing is accurate and thorough.
