Eliza Willis is possibly one of the most appreciated associates at The Shippers Group because she is responsible for making sure that all other TSG associates are paid on-time and correctly. Eliza is our Payroll Administrator and she is celebrating her 5th anniversary at TSG.
Sarah Sheppard has been promoted to Office Manager in Austell, GA. In her new role, Sarah is in charge of the Customer Service Team in Austell overseeing all systems-related inbound receiving and outbound order processing functions, as well as invoicing and customer and carrier communications.
When Tonnie Thompson started working at The Shippers Group in 1974, President Richard Nixon resigned in the wake of the Watergate scandal and Gerald Ford became POTUS. Gas was only $.55 per gallon and a dozen eggs cost $.78. That year the Miami Dolphins defeated the Minnesota Vikings in the Superbowl and The Godfather Part 2 was one of the year's most popular movies. During Tonnie's years at The Shippers Group a lot has changed but one thing that has remained consistent is Tonnie's work ethic and dedication to do his best work every day.
The Shippers Group has been selected from among hundreds of companies who submitted credentials as one of the Top 100 3PL Providers. The Top 100 list appears in the July 2019 edition of Inbound Logistics. Criteria for selection includes geographic coverage, markets served, logistics services, warehousing services, transportation services and innovation.
