Good360, ALAN and The Shippers Group have partnered together to aid hurricane victims, and for The Shippers Group’s contribution, Good360 has chosen to recognize their Operations Team in Austell, Georgia with the Circle of Good Award.

Warehouse logistics companies are in a unique position to donate transportation, labor, space and aid in natural disasters. The Shippers Group has teamed up with the American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN) to provide relief efforts during the greatest times of need. In October, ALAN recognized these efforts by naming TSG as one of the 2018 Humanitarian Logistics Award recipients during the CSCMP EDGE Conference, Sept. 30 – Oct. 3 in Nashville, Tennessee.

“We are humbled to take action and support those in need when a natural disaster strikes. These are the communities of our employees and our customers, and we consider it our duty to help whenever and however we can,” says Rob Doyle, president of The Shippers Group.

When hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria unleashed devastation across Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico, Good 360 rendered aid. The organization's mission is to help companies donate excess merchandise to charities instead of destroying it. The goods are critical necessities for folks recovering from very damaging and costly storms and include items such as shop vacs, diapers, and cleaning supplies.   

At The Shippers Group, we love our furry friends and that is why we sponsor Bissell’s Blocktail Party®, “a fundraising event founded in 2005 by a group of animal advocates to support animal welfare organizations. The Committee has dedicated many years to animal welfare. Since 2012, all funds raised are contributed to BISSELL Pet Foundation; a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2011 to assist animal welfare organizations and their efforts to reduce the number of animals in shelters and rescues.”
