The Shippers Group is excited to announce the recent addition to our Operational Excellence Team, Monica Soraney! Monica was hired as the Industrial Engineer for our Atlanta operations. In her new role, Monica will support the Operational Excellence Team in leading cultural transformation by training Lean Concepts aligned with our core values. A few of her day-to-day responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining “Best Practices”, implementing enhancements to existing work method flows, researching and implementing technological advancements, and driving overall efficiency.

Today is National Forklift Safety Day, a day which is recognized every year to reinforce the importance of operator safety training and forklift safety practices. As safety is one of our core values and our #1 priority, today and throughout the entire month of June, The Shippers Group is highlighting the importance of forklift training and best safety practices.

In our May update, we mentioned how we are entering a new phase of the pandemic now that vaccines are widely available to anyone over the age of 12. The rate of vaccinated Americans has increased from just over 40% to 63% in the past 30 days.
