Today is National Forklift Safety Day, a day which is recognized every year to reinforce the importance of operator safety training and forklift safety practices. As safety is one of our core values and our #1 priority, today and throughout the entire month of June, The Shippers Group is highlighting the importance of forklift training and best safety practices.

The Shippers Group is excited to announce Erika Ramirez as our new HR Manager for Texas!

Erika has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Human Resources Management and an MBA from University of North Texas. Her previous experience includes positions as a HR Generalist and Benefits Administrator. With her extensive education and over five years of HR experience in manufacturing and warehousing, Erika is a valuable addition to our HR team!

Declared by Congress in 1999, the month of May is known as National Military Appreciation Month (NMAM). This month serves as a reminder to us of the history and sacrifice we have been privileged to partake in since our nation’s birth, and to celebrate and honor the men and women of America’s Armed Forces.

The Shippers Group is excited to announce Maria Abeldanez as The Shipper’s Group 2020 Administrative Associate of the Year! A recent surprise celebration was held at our Jonesboro Packaging facility to present Maria with her award and to congratulate her and the site on this accomplishment. Presenting this award was President, Rob Doyle; Vice President of Operations, Curtis Dean; Michelle Belcher, HR Manager; Anthony Ebert, General Manager; and LB Vines, Production Manager.

The Shippers Group is excited to announce Jorge “JD” Cortez as our 2020 Operations Associate of the Year! A surprise celebration for JD took place in early April at our Grand Lakes 2 location to present him with his award. Joining the team was President, Rob Doyle; VP of Operations, John Dennington; and VP Human Resources-Safety Compliance, Diane Villafana, to personally congratulate JD on his award and thank him for his hard work and dedication to The Shippers Group.
