COVID-19 a.k.a. “Coronavirus” is an acute respiratory illness. The outbreak, which began in China, has now spread to other parts of the world including the United States. The virus is highly contagious and spreading rapidly. As a result, the World Health Organization has declared it a global pandemic. At The Shippers Group, our concern is for the health and well-being of our supply chain partners, service providers, associates and loved ones within our communities. 

Scott Goolsby was recently awarded The Shippers Group’s “Warehouse Associate of the Year” for 2019 during a surprise luncheon at our Austell, Georgia facility. Every month we choose a Warehouse Associate of the Month, and from those monthly winners, owners Ken Johnson and Graham Swank, along with our President, Rob Doyle, choose the associate who displayed the overall best work ethic, safety, production, and attitude.

The Shippers Group recently joined food manufacturers and distributors as well as logistics providers to network and discover ways to improve and enhance their supply chain performance at the 65th Annual Food Shippers of America Conference in Orlando, Florida. Food Shippers of America is the gold standard for continuing education of transportation and supply chain services to the food industry.
