Today is National Forklift Safety Day, a day which is recognized every year to reinforce the importance of operator safety training and forklift safety practices. As safety is one of our core values and our #1 priority, today and throughout the entire month of June, The Shippers Group is highlighting the importance of forklift training and best safety practices.

Any time you have warehouse associates working in close proximity to one another, especially those who are operating forklifts, their safety is the number one priority. How does a warehouse operator help ensure the safety of all associates, both those who are operating forklifts and other materials handling equipment and those who are working on foot among them? 

The Shippers Group is excited to announce the launch of its second Emerging Leaders Program!

As part of the The Shippers’ Group Leadership Academy, the Emerging Leaders Program was created on the premise that to lead others, you have to first be able to lead yourself. Kicking off in March, this year-long program is already underway and designed to focus on leadership development and team building. The nominated 10 associates will do a deep dive into personal and professional development with an emphasis on personal growth in a professional framework.

Declared by Congress in 1999, the month of May is known as National Military Appreciation Month (NMAM). This month serves as a reminder to us of the history and sacrifice we have been privileged to partake in since our nation’s birth, and to celebrate and honor the men and women of America’s Armed Forces.
