The Shippers Group is excited to announce the launch of its second Emerging Leaders Program!

As part of the The Shippers’ Group Leadership Academy, the Emerging Leaders Program was created on the premise that to lead others, you have to first be able to lead yourself. Kicking off in March, this year-long program is already underway and designed to focus on leadership development and team building. The nominated 10 associates will do a deep dive into personal and professional development with an emphasis on personal growth in a professional framework.

Declared by Congress in 1999, the month of May is known as National Military Appreciation Month (NMAM). This month serves as a reminder to us of the history and sacrifice we have been privileged to partake in since our nation’s birth, and to celebrate and honor the men and women of America’s Armed Forces.

Safety is our #1 priority at The Shippers Group, and April has been designated as First Aid and CPR month. While safety is always top-of-mind at TSG, specific importance is placed on First Aid and CPR during the month of April. Read on about the ways in which TSG is highlighting Heart-to-Heart month among associates.

The Shippers Group takes caring for our environment very seriously. As an Inbound Logistics Green 75 partner, we recycled 7.5 million pounds of cardboard, paper and plastic last year. Additionally, TSG is focused on energy efficiency and water conversation within our 16 distribution facilities. With more than 6.5 million square feet of warehouse space and hundreds of pieces of materials handling equipment, we are continuously looking for new ways to improve environmental sustainability. 

Last year, The Shippers Group held a Pet Contest for National Pet Day. In the midst of lockdowns and stay-at-home orders, it was a fun way to bring good cheer to our essential and hardworking team. Little did we know how much of a hit it would be, so we decided to bring it back this year and make it an annual contest for our associates!
